Speckled Sea Trout
Snook
RedfishÂ
Speckled sea trout thrive across Southwest Florida’s grass flats and shallow bays. A willing target, trout are a SWFL staple.
One of Southwest Florida’s most sought-after inshore gamefish, snook are known for explosive strikes, powerful runs, and acrobatic fights.Â
Redfish are hard-fighting inshore favorites often found cruising shallow grass flats, oyster bars, and mangrove shorelines.Â

SILVER KINGS
Southwest Florida is the epicenter of world-class tarpon fishing. From April through July, these prehistoric giants migrate along our coast, providing an unparalleled challenge for any angler. I specialize in stalking these 'Silver Kings' in shallow water, using experience and precision to put you on the fish of a lifetime.

The Guide

If you asked Captain Carter Brown what he wanted to be when he grew up, the answer was always the same, a fishing guide in Southwest Florida. Growing up in southern Ohio, Carter lived and breathed the outdoors. If he wasn’t wading through a creek, or sitting in a duck blind, he was practicing knots and watching Reel Time Florida Sportsman. When it came time for college, Florida Gulf Coast University was the only choice. Spending most of his class days on the water, Captain Carter learned more about Pine Island Sound, and the barrier islands of South West Florida than he did math and science.  Â

Today, Captain Carter specializes in shallow-water sight fishing. From Cape Sable to Boca Grande, he’s explored nearly every flat, pass, and shoreline in search of trophy fish. Whether it’s stalking tailing redfish, poling the flats for snook, or chasing tarpon along the beaches, his passion is helping anglers experience the best of SWFL inshore fishing.

With a laid-back personality, years of experience, and a genuine love for teaching, Captain Carter makes every trip more than just a fishing charter—it’s an adventure.

Whether you’re a seasoned angler or stepping onto a boat for the first time, you’ll leave with new skills, unforgettable memories, and maybe even a story about the one that didn’t get away.

Common Questions
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 72 hours may forfeit the deposit, unless the slot can be filled by another charter.
What should I bring on the trip?
We provide all licenses, bait, and tackle. We suggest bringing polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and any specific snacks or drinks you prefer (water is provided).
Do you practice catch-and-release?
We strongly advocate for catch-and-release to ensure the sustainability of Southwest Florida's marine life. While you can keep legal takes of certain species, we encourage releasing breeding age fish, and non-target species.
Can we take fish home to eat?
Absolutely! If your intention is to take home some fresh fish, please let me know so I can plan our day accordingly.Â
What happens if we get bad weather?
Safety is of upmost concern, if I make the decision to cancel the trip, we will do everything we can to get you rebooked. If that isn't an option, you will receive your full deposit back.Â
